Clearly, there are nuances that may not be captured in this format. The goal here is to provide you with helpful counselling tips which often draw from multiple sources or those which are not commonly accessed by busy healthcare providers serving the community.

Counselling Conundrum: "I usually hear that I should try to not apply things in the same place all the time. Is that the case for my Estrogel?"
Concise Conclusion: Good point! With Estrogel it's actually not necessary; just apply to both arms (avoid applying to breasts).
Quick Wrap-up: Keep an eye out for estrogen patches like Estradot as well, as it's recommended to apply at the same site consistently (rather than rotating).

Thank you for the concise information you provide. It is very helpful.
I just reviewed the monograph for Estradot as it was new to me that the patches shouldn't be rotated. It suggests using the same body area but "(p)atches should not be applied to the same skin site twice in succession." from page 8 of the monograph.
